Unpacking Smart Learning Ecosystems: How AI-Augmented Educational Management Shapes Future-Ready Learning Organizations

The rapid emergence of artificial intelligence (AI) has accelerated the transformation of educational organizations from digital-based institutions toward smart learning ecosystems. However, successfully integrating AI requires more than technological adoption; it requires strategic management practices that enable organizations to adapt, innovate, and sustain transformation. This study explores how AI-augmented educational management shapes smart learning ecosystems and contributes to the development of future-ready learning organizations. This study used a qualitative approach through semi-structured interviews, institutional document analysis, and observations involving 12 participants, including educational leaders, teachers, and technology coordinators. The study analyzed data using thematic analysis to identify how AI capabilities are integrated into educational management practices. The findings reveal that AI-augmented educational management functions as a strategic mechanism that strengthens data-driven decision-making, connects technological systems with human capabilities, and supports continuous organizational adaptation. The study demonstrates that smart learning ecosystems emerge through the interaction between AI technologies, educator competencies, and institutional learning processes. This research contributes to educational management literature by positioning AI as an organizational capability that enables future-ready learning organizations through adaptive, intelligent, and human-centered transformation.
