Penguatan Kemampuan Guru dalam Melakukan Riset Ilmiah di SD Muhammadiyah Karangkajen Yogyakarta

Research is an important activity that must be carried out by
a teacher as part of competency development that supports
teaching. The ability of teachers to conduct research varies
and not all teachers know, understand and are able to carry
out research. This training aims to provide an overview of
the importance of research and how to implement it. This
training is carried out directly using the method of exposure
to material and practice. The training participants consisted
of 22 principals, vice principals and teachers. training
activities include three stages, namely pre-implementation,
implementation and evaluation. The results of the training
found four important points. First, almost all teachers do not
know and understand how to do research. Second, teachers
have so far focused on the field of teaching. Third, teachers
have never received training on research. Fourth, most
teachers have never done research. The results of these
findings are very important to be used as evaluation material
in improving teacher competence in the future. The teacher's
habit of doing research is very supportive in learning such as
finding new strategies that are suitable for application or
providing new material that is relevant to the subject.
