Manuscript Type

This journal publishes several categories of manuscripts within the scope of education and learning research. Authors should identify the appropriate manuscript type during submission, as each type has distinct expectations regarding structure, length, and methodological rigor.

  1. Original Research Articles – Full-length reports of original empirical research, including quantitative, qualitative, or mixed-methods studies, presenting new findings, data, and analysis relevant to education and learning.
  2. Literature Reviews – Systematic or narrative reviews that critically synthesize existing research on a defined topic, identify gaps in the literature, and propose directions for future research.
  3. Conceptual and Theoretical Papers – Papers that develop or critique theoretical frameworks, models, or conceptual arguments relevant to education and learning without necessarily reporting new empirical data.
  4. Case Studies – In-depth analyses of a single case, program, institution, or intervention, offering detailed contextual insight into educational practice.
  5. Short Communications – Concise reports of preliminary findings, replication studies, or focused discussions that do not require the full length of an original research article.

All manuscript types must comply with the journal’s Author Guidelines regarding formatting, citation style, and ethical standards. The editorial team reserves the right to request that a manuscript be reclassified into a different type if its content and structure better align with another category.
